Growing up in Mississauga, Ontario, Kelsey Scrivo has been playing piano since she was four years old. She fell in love with the instrument at that young age, and has been performing ever since.
Kelsey holds an ARCT diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Western Ontario, where she studied with prominent duo pianist Leslie Kinton. She has performed frequently throughout Mississauga and London with many of her colleagues, as well as with Western’s Early Music Studio ensemble as a harpsichord player. Kelsey’s most recent projects include performing as a rehearsal and collaborative pianist for Accademia Europea Dell Opera’s production of The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart in Lucca, Italy, and classical piano recitals in Toronto.
Kelsey enjoys providing music education to students of all ages and levels, as well as any genre, although she specializes in classical piano playing. She started teaching piano at the age of sixteen, and loves preparing her students for examinations, competitions and any personal performance goals they may have. She regularly has the pleasure of watching her students perform and succeed! Kelsey is currently studying at the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Dr. Midori Koga, completing a Master of Music degree specializing in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.
