Since the 1970’s the Yamaha name in North America has always been associated with quality and value. For many years Kawai and Yamaha upright pianos were considered the standard for a college and university practice room or teaching studio. They offered a perfect blend of durability, sound quality, and price and also were endorsed by many famous musicians. The Yamaha upright piano has been known for its brighter more percussive sound which works for certain types of music.

This Yamaha upright piano model LU101 that we are selling was originally purchased in 1990 and has had one owner. We have taken this piano on trade from a family that decided to upgrade to a Kawai GM10K grand piano. Although this piano model is now discontinued, when the Yamaha upright piano model LU101 was built, it was considered one of the best values on the market under $6000.
