Kohler & Campbell pianos are the musical legacy of two ingenious minds: Charles Kohler and John Calvin Campbell. They merged their skills, knowledge, and experience in 1896 to form one of the most successful piano companies of their time. Their expertise with industrial manufacturing and business practices allowed them to grow at a rapid rate and acquire dozens of piano manufacturing firms and companies in the early part of the 20th century.
Recent Kohler & Campbell pianos are manufactured by the parent company Samick Music Corporation in their Indonesian and South Korean factories. While the lineage of ownership may have changed over the course of the company’s history, the high-quality craftsmanship and use of the finest materials has remained unchanged.
Kohler & Campbell’s KC647 piano is a furniture-style studio upright. Standing at 47”, it is a rare modern example of a tall furniture piano. It is a part of their Millennium series and is the perfect balance between form and function. The French-style cabinetry gives it a beautiful aesthetic while the excellent design makes it an excellent player with a rich and full tone.
This particular KC647 is in lovely satin walnut. It is the perfect instrument for a piano player looking for the musical benefits of a taller upright and the aesthetic qualities of a furniture-style instrument.
