The WM Knabe company became quite famous for their square and grand pianos, which received a multitude of awards and distinctions. The legacy of Wilhelm Knabe and Henry Gaehle has been carried on by the Samick Music Coporation’s WM Knabe line.

The WM Knabe WKV118R is a 46.5” upright piano built in Indonesia by Samick. For a little over 10 years, Knabe’s piano line has been divided into three levels: Baltimore (WV models), Academy (WMV models) and Concert (WKV models). The WKV118R is a professional tier instrument that is part of WM Knabe’s Concert series.
