Used Kawai KS-2F Upright Piano

This KS2F piano was built in 1983 and, like most Kawai pianos manufactured during the 80s, has aged quite well and retained its playability and tone rather impressively. The bass register in particular is extremely clear even when playing at the more extreme ends of the dynamics spectrum.

Koichi Kawai was an integral member of the Nippon Gakki Company (later renamed the Yamaha Corporation) research and development team that first introduced pianos to Japan. However, upon the company deciding to diversify its product line outside of musical instruments, Koichi Kawai decided to leave the Nippon Gakki Company in 1927 and launch the Kawai Musical Instrument Research Laboratory. Ever since, Kawai has been fully committed to refining its designs on its quest to manufacture the perfect piano.
