Founded in 1866 in Toronto, Ontario, Heintzman is unquestionably the most famous Canadian piano manufacturer in history. While a select few North American piano manufacturers were able to survive the trials and tribulations of two wars and the Great Depression, Heintzman was one of them. This impressive feat was by no means luck. Their robust and durable designs coupled with their stunning cabinetry and musical tone made them highly-sought after instruments.
While the company eventually stopped producing pianos in the 1980s, it did not take long for the company to be resurrected through Canadian investors that managed to salvage the company’s original scale designs and move manufacturing over to China.
This particular Heintzman Vogue console piano is one of the original Canadian made Heintzman pianos, which was manufactured in 1970. While not as ornate as some Heintzman uprights, the craftsmanship and build quality is undeniable on this eye-catching satin walnut piano. Its elegantly simple design gives it an institutional look that would be well suited for schools, churches, lesson studios, community centers and retirement homes.
At right around the $3000 price point, this Heintzman Vogue piano presents wonderful value to a family or institution looking for a musically reliable and aesthetically-pleasing instrument.
