Founded by Dwight Hamilton Baldwin, the origin of the legendary Baldwin Piano Company dates back to 1857.
The company began as a piano dealership and eventually grew to become the largest piano dealer in the Midwest by the end of the 19th century.
However, D.H. Baldwin’s primary ambition was to produce “the best piano that could be built”. In 1891, Baldwin launched its first upright piano. A few years later, in 1895, the company’s first grand piano followed.
The rest is history as one might say..
The Baldwin BH152M baby grand piano is a 5’0” instrument that greatly outperforms its class and size.
The smaller footprint makes it an ideal grand piano option for home or studio use in which space is a concern.
The model’s musical performance is anything but small, however. As Baldwin baby and medium grands have come to be known for the BH152M’s bass section is robust and deep, which gives the sonic impression of a much larger piano.
The Baldwin BH152M is finished in a traditional ebony polish and has been well-preserved thanks to the careful oversight of its previous owner.
Coming in at just under the $15,000 price point, this Baldwin baby grand piano would serve as an excellent musical companion for a recreational player or hobbyist that is looking for a well-built grand piano by one of the most prestigious manufacturers in the business.
