Product Overview
The Kawai HML-2 stand for the Kawai ES120 is a sleek, custom-built designer stand providing a more traditional piano look when compared to the industrial flavored ‘X’ or ‘Z’ keyboard stands. This stand offers sturdy support for your keyboard (sold separately, only compatible with Kawai ES120)
Classic Style
A common complaint from folks when considering an ‘X’ stand or ‘Z’ sand for their slab-type digital piano is the look; some people much prefer the look of a traditional piano in their home as opposed to something that just looks like a keyboard. The HML-2 wooden designer stand makes the ES120 look more like a real piano, as opposed to a keyboard.
Stability
If stability is a prime concern, you can rest assured the HML-2 has you covered. With a wide base and solid construction, the HML1 will not easily knock over, nor will it bounce around when played by even heavy-handed players.
Required for use of Kawai F-351 Triple Pedal Unit
If the Kawai F351 Triple Pedal Unit is something you want to add to your ES110, it’s important to know that the triple pedal unit requires the HML2 to function. While you can buy the HML2 and don’t necessarily need to add the F351, the reverse isn’t true. The addition of the triple pedal makes playing advanced classical music a possibility on the ES120.
Expert Advice
If you’ve decided on the ES120 and it’s not something you’ll be frequently taking on the go (but still have the option to regardless), why not go for the much more aesthetically pleasing stand built by Kawai?
A digital piano is something that will likely be in your home for quite some time, so it’s not hard to argue the merits of spending a bit more money for something that will make the piano and in turn your whole room, a little bit nicer to look at.
